happy happy

even with all this rain.

the snow is gone now. please don't come back this side of christmas! thank you.

other reasons to be happy:

1. i've had my hair done for the first time in five months. i have tried to go for months, but either my hairdresser's been busy or i've been working all the time and had to cancel my appointments. now, finally, my pigmentally challenged roots are back to their normal, chemically enhanced selves.

2. i decided the pink fluffy raglan isn't too big after all! i don't know what i was thinking, or maybe i've just gotten fatter during my two month pink fluffy raglan hiatus. anyway, i've actually finished the body and am about to cast on for the first sleeve, but i need to get a 30cm circular first. here we are so far:



3. i'm going to see polly and amelia in london tomorrow! woo hoo!

4. before the snow melted i took this picture of some tracks in my garden that i couldn't identify at first:



then i realised it's the neighbour's cat - the snow was so high his body was ploughing through it. if you look closely you can see the paw prints in the middle of the track. i wish i'd been there to see him trying to walk gracefully through snow higher than him.

i have lost all interest in the diagonal stitch cardigan now that i'm back on track with the pink fluffy raglan. i have seamed the shoulders and the sleeves (stupid sleeves; i'm not completely happy with them), plus attached the incredibly curly front bands, so i'm ready to pick up stitches for the collar:

(i'm very annoyed by the fact that this cardigan is so incredibly unphotogenic. not very promising for the end result.)
