swapping galore!
last week i received a couple of great packages which i haven't had a chance to show you until now.
i finally found five minutes of daylight to take a just about half decent pic of my gorgeous interlocking balloons scarf that arrived from diana as part of the syno swap:

how beautiful is that! thanks, diana! the yarn is called baby silk, a silk and baby alpaca blend from the norwegian company du store alpakka (warning: their web site is only in norwegian, plus absolutely horrible).
i have already started wearing scarves this autumn, as it's freezing here, so this was a welcome addition to the wardrobe.
(as for my own scarf contribution, i finished morgan's scarf a couple of days ago. i still have to weave in a couple of ends and give it a bit of a blocking, but it shouldn't be too long now before it's on its way to cold calgary.)
the other package i got came all the way from winnie in the city of angels:

thanks, winnie! not sure yet what i'm going to do with the nature spun, but i have green and yellow stripes on the brain at the moment so i suspect there will at least be some of that, maybe small felted tote bag sorta like the laptop bags in the latest interweave knits.
now, i need you to help me decide which project i should start first from the schoeller & stahl book - the coat or the vest:

hehehe.
seriously, my faves are these ones:

you can never go wrong with a zippered, fitted, ribby cardi.
